On September 1st, the International Funktionsausstellung (IFA), the world's largest and most influential consumer electronics exhibition, took place in Germany as planned. As one of the earliest Chinese brands to go global, Hisense has been a regular participant at IFA for over a decade, gradually building its reputation as an internationally recognized brand. This year’s IFA saw Hisense showcase its globally available ULED Ultra HD TV lineup, including the 9-series, 8-series, 7-series, and 6-series. Among them, the newly re-released 7700 series from the successful 7-series launched in 2016–2017 became a standout highlight in the appliance section of the event.
ULED is Hisense’s proprietary technology aimed at enhancing TV picture quality. By utilizing multi-zone backlight control and multi-level fine dimming, it elevates LCD TVs to an unprecedented level of visual performance. Compared to OLED TVs, which are often used as a benchmark in the industry, ULED TVs have become increasingly competitive. This year, Hisense introduced its flagship 9-series ULED model at IFA, featuring up to 1,000 backlight zones with 4,096 levels of fine-tuning per zone—showcasing details, depth, and clarity that even OLED TVs struggle to match.
In recent years, Hisense’s self-developed ULED technology has begun to gain traction worldwide. The MU7000 series, the first product of the 7-series ULED lineup, has already been launched in 67 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, and Australia, where it has received strong market feedback. In China, according to data from Yikang Market Research, the 55-inch MU7000 series ranked first in the high-end segment from January to July this year, selling over 282 units priced above 6,000 yuan, making it one of the most popular premium TV models.
At IFA, the 7-Series ULED also made its debut in the NU7700 series. Featuring a borderless panoramic design, Cartier silver ceramic metal finish, and a screwless construction, the 7700 series marks another breakthrough in both appearance and technology. It promises a seamless blend of aesthetics and performance, embodying the concept of "internal and external harmony." The product will be released in the Chinese market on September 7th. In addition to its remarkable visual design, it is rumored that the sound system will also bring significant improvements—something we’re looking forward to seeing in future announcements.
