The first practical LED was invented in the early 20th century, but it was not widely used because its brightness could not meet the application requirements. Until the end of the 1970s, red and green LEDs appeared, especially in the 1980s, orange and yellow. After the birth of LEDs, LEDs have gradually become widely used.

Before 1998, the LED package structure was relatively simple, mainly based on the low-power LAMP series. Since 2000, with the birth of SMD series products, new LED package structures have emerged. At the same time, the LED package structure is mainly changed according to the needs of the application product.

The commercial LAMP series began in 1976 and was popular in 1995. With the LAMP series of white light and display series LAMP light sources being mass-produced, the use of the LAMP series reached its peak. Representative products of the LAMP series are: ¢10, ¢8, ¢5, ¢3, 546 oval, 346 oval, ¢4.8 helmet shape, ¢4.8 straw hat, ¢2 nipple shape, ¢1.8 small butterfly shape, square without cap Along the tombstone shape. According to the LAMP series product structure, illumination angle, brightness, illuminating color, etc., the early LAMP series is mainly used in indicator lights and Christmas lights. Later, with the improvement of technology, LAMP series products are gradually used in backlights, landscape lighting, roads. Traffic indication, indoor lighting and outdoor display.

Prior to 2004, SMD products were mainly based on the chip series. The main products were 0805, 0603, 1206, 0605, 0604, 1210, 0402, etc. The products were mainly used in backlights, mobile phone buttons, indicators, and early indoor displays. After 2004, the TOP series products of SMD series products gradually became dominant, and some application fields were replaced by TOP series (after the 2009, the indoor display light source 0805 series has been replaced by 3528), the early representative is 3528, 5050, Subsequent development to 3020, 3014, 020, 010, 5630, 5730, etc., products are mainly used in lighting / light strips, indoor display, indoor lighting.

In 2003, high-power packaging began to be developed in some Chinese enterprises, but commercial production did not occur until 2005. After 2007, high-power packaging was widely promoted, and most LED packaging companies gradually introduced production equipment. In 2010, China's LED packaging industry attracted investment boom, while high-power packaging investment also entered its peak. As of the end of 2011, China's LED packaging companies can basically produce high-power packaging products.

In the early stage of high-power development, 1W was mainly used, and later developed into 3W, 2W, 5W, and 7W. From no lens to lens, from substrate to substrate, high-power package structure undergoes qualitative changes. Representative product specifications are: 1W aluminum-free substrate / 1W plus aluminum substrate / 3w aluminum-free substrate / 3w aluminum substrate / 3w strip high power / 3w module high power / 3w 7090 high power / 3w four feet high power /3w four feet high power / 3w six feet high power / 3w six feet high power / 5W series / 7W series.

Since the development of high-power products, the main focus is on lighting. As of May 2012, the application fields of high-power products include: outdoor functional lighting, landscape lighting/lighting, plant lighting, architectural lighting and other places requiring high power.

Due to the increasing demand for the brightness of the lamp bead, a single high-power lamp bead can no longer meet the requirements. In order to meet the market demand, application manufacturers use multiple 1W lamp beads to improve the brightness, but this solution will cause excessive cost and increase the area, which is not conducive to production. Therefore, another package form that can improve brightness--integrated/COB Packaging came into being and was gradually recognized by the market.

The original commercial integrated package was applied to architectural lighting in 2007, but due to its difficult heat dissipation technology, the overall development of integrated packaging was slow during 2007-2009. After 2010, due to the proper solution of heat dissipation, integration The packaging was gradually accepted by the public; COB packaging began production in 2008, but until the end of 2009, COB package products still can not achieve the corresponding results, and the heat dissipation problem can not be solved, many companies slow down R & D and production. Since the second half of 2010, the heat dissipation problem of COB package has also been properly solved. The demand for COB for high-power lighting and bulbs is gradually increasing, and with the continuous improvement of packaging technology, the cost of COB packaging is low and the efficiency of light is high. Gradually, COB packaging has been recognized by major packaging companies.

Whether it is integrated package or COB package, its application fields are basically similar, mainly used in high-power lighting, such as outdoor lighting, architectural lighting, landscape lighting and so on. However, due to its unique packaging method and heat dissipation mode, the COB package has a relatively wide application field. At present, some indoor lighting products adopt COB packaging products.

After more than 40 years of development, China's LAMP pin-type LED light source (φ3mm, φ5mm) and SMD SMD light source have become a standard product. With the improvement of chip technology and the needs of the application market, in order to utilize automated assembly technology and reduce Manufacturing costs, high-power light sources, integrated / COB light sources have emerged. Stimulated by market demand, high-power LED packages are becoming smaller and thinner to provide a wider application space.

Storage temperature range:

12v Dc geared motors should be stored ta a temperature of -15~65℃.

Service life:
