With free memory to do the disk there is this trick!

This time, I'm thinking about the small partners who use Windows 10. They tend to face more issues compared to other users. Over the past period, I noticed that many people are really interested in third-party software that's easy to use. Especially those free tools that enhance performance and add useful functions. It's definitely something worth exploring!

Some of the software editors I've tried are quite good. However, apart from the paid version of RrimoCache, there are still many RAMDISK-based (virtual disk) applications available. Considering that SSDs are still relatively expensive, using free memory to speed up disk operations is a smart and cost-effective approach.

If you're interested, just type "RAMDISK" into the public account interface of the computer enthusiasts group. The download link for Xiaobian QSOFT RAMDisk will be provided. Please note that it's not a portable tool—it needs to be installed like any regular application. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before proceeding.

Once you’ve downloaded the compressed package, extract it to a folder of your choice. Then open the folder and double-click on the “open device manager” icon. This will directly launch the Device Manager, making the process much simpler than before.

In the Device Manager window, click on "Actions" and select "Add Legacy Hardware."

In the wizard, choose "Install my hardware manually from a list" and click "Next."

Then, click "Show all devices" at the top of the window.

Click "Have Disk" and browse to the extracted folder. Select the version that matches your system.

After installation, a new option called "RAM Drive" will appear in the Device Manager. This is the virtual memory disk you can configure.

Double-click on it to set your preferences, such as drive letter, capacity (not exceeding 25% of free memory), file system, etc. Once you restart, the RAM disk will be ready for use. You can transfer files or system caches to it to improve performance.

Keep in mind that uninstalling this software isn't done through the Control Panel. Instead, go back to the Device Manager, right-click the RAM Drive entry, and choose "Uninstall Device." That’s how you remove it properly.
