Littelfuse, a global leader in circuit protection solutions, has introduced the SP3051-04HTG transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode array—also known as an SPA Diode. This new product is the latest addition to Littelfuse's line of TVS diode arrays designed for lightning surge protection. The SP3051-04HTG combines a low-capacitance rail-to-rail diode with an additional Zener diode to safeguard each input/output pin against surges caused by ESD and lightning strikes. It can safely absorb 20A (tP = 8/20μs) without any performance degradation and offers a minimum ESD protection of ±30kV. Its low load capacitance makes it particularly suitable for protecting high-speed signal lines, such as those used in 1Gb Ethernet data connections.
The SP3051-04HTG stands out from similar products on the market due to its lower dynamic resistance (0.3Ω), which results in an extremely low clamping voltage—only 10.5V compared to up to 16.6V in other devices.
