Molex, a global leader in electronic components, has introduced the Mega-Fit power connector series, expanding its innovative range of high-performance power connectors. This mid-range wire-to-board solution features a compact 5.70mm footprint and delivers up to 23.0A of current, addressing a critical gap in today’s interconnect market. The design combines high-current terminals with a small form factor, making it one of the most powerful connectors in its class. It is ideal for applications requiring power levels between 14.0A and 23.0A per terminal, such as consumer electronics, networking equipment, and industrial and commercial vehicles. Corey Schroeder, global product manager at Molex, explained that engineers often face challenges when selecting power connectors in the 14.0A to 23.0A range. Historically, their options were limited, forcing them to choose either oversized connectors or smaller ones that required multiple contacts to handle higher currents—both of which increased PCB space requirements. The Mega-Fit connector solves this issue by offering high current capacity in a compact design, delivering more power per linear and square millimeter than other mid-range products on the market. The Mega-Fit connector integrates advanced technology into its terminal interface and crimp section, ensuring reliability and safety. Its split-box terminal design includes six staggered contacts, each mounted on separate spring columns, providing redundant current paths for long-term performance. When unplugged, the first four “sacrificial” contacts protect the two rear contacts, enabling hot insertion at 48V/23.0A with up to 30 cycles. Additionally, the extended barrel conductor crimp ensures strong terminal-to-wire retention, enhancing durability. The Mega-Fit 5.70mm pitch connector retains key features from Molex’s broader power connector line, including isolated terminals, self-locking housings, and polarized designs. Applications that can benefit from the Mega-Fit connector include: - High-power transmission needs: Many mid-range connectors have ratings below 14.0A. Mega-Fit offers higher power without sacrificing PCB space. - Low-power systems seeking extra capacity: Engineers can use Mega-Fit to add more current-carrying capability without overdesigning. - Replacing lower-power connectors: Instead of using shunts or multiple contacts, Mega-Fit provides a safer and more space-efficient solution for achieving up to 23.0A.

Steel Structures

Steel structures can be used in many industries such as foundation reinforce, electric power transmission structures and tubular scaffolding, etc.

A flange can also be a plate or ring to form a rim at the end of a pipe when fastened to the pipe. A blind flange is a plate for covering or closing the end of a pipe. A flange joint is a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together.

Although the word flange generally refers to the actual raised rim or lip of a fitting, many flanged plumbing fittings are themselves known as 'flanges':

There are many different flange standards to be found worldwide. To allow easy functionality and interchangeability, these are designed to have standardised dimensions. Common world standards include ASA/ASME (USA), PN/DIN (European), BS10 (British/Australian), and JIS/KS (Japanese/Korean). In the USA, ANSI stopped publishing B16.5 in 1996, and the standard is ASME B16.5
