In a panel discussion on AI advancements, Wang Xiaochuan, CEO of Sogou, shared an interesting story about how he used AI to manage the overwhelming number of congratulatory messages he received after Sogou's IPO. To solve this, he turned to artificial intelligence, developing a chatbot to help automate the process. Reflecting on Sogou’s AI strategy, Wang emphasized the company’s focus on language technologies, which he sees as the foundation of human cognition. He explained that Sogou’s AI roadmap is closely tied to its core products—Sogou Search and Sogou Input Method. He also mentioned that the Sogou Input Method handles over 300 million voice requests daily. The company is now exploring new ways to enhance user interaction, including the development of body language input systems, such as lip-reading technology. Currently, their lip recognition system has achieved a 60% accuracy rate. As the AI industry continues to evolve, companies like Sogou are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with intelligent interfaces and natural language processing.
