Hook scales are widely used in various industries, but do you know how to use an electronic hook scale properly? Following these guidelines can help ensure accurate readings and extend the life of your equipment:

1. Before turning on the hook scale, make sure it is in a vertical floating position and in an idle state. This ensures stability during the initial setup.

2. Press the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. Once the display shows "UERT-8.0," the full-scale value will appear, followed by the battery voltage reading. If the voltage drops below 5.2V, charge the device immediately.

3. When replacing the battery, always disconnect the power first before opening the cover to avoid any electrical hazards.

4. When weighing an object, remove any external hanging devices such as slings, wire ropes, or U-hooks. Ensure that all connecting equipment is fully suspended to prevent measurement errors caused by additional weight.

5. Avoid using the remote control when the power supply is unstable, as this can lead to inaccurate readings or damage to the system.

6. Use the red button on the device to clear the display, not your fingers, to maintain hygiene and prevent accidental input.

7. Keep the hanging object steady while weighing. Wait 3–7 seconds after the reading stabilizes before taking the final measurement.

8. After use, return the scale to its no-load state or place it back on the weighing frame to clean the device thoroughly.

9. When placing the scale back, make sure it’s aligned correctly and the power is turned off to protect the internal components.

10. Never leave heavy objects hanging on the scale for extended periods, as this can cause long-term strain on the sensor and affect accuracy.

11. Handle the scale gently—avoid dropping, colliding, or sudden movements. These actions can damage the sensitive internal mechanisms.

12. When lifting heavy loads, ensure the crane hook is positioned at the top of the load. Slow down as you approach the object to hang it carefully. Make sure the load is centered on the hook and secure before raising the scale smoothly.

13. Always follow the "seven-step crane" protocol: don’t lift if the signal is unclear, if the load is overweight, or if the fastening is not secure. Also, avoid lifting if the safety devices aren't working or if the load is being pulled diagonally without visibility.

14. Never exceed the rated capacity of the hook scale. Overloading can damage the sensor and compromise the accuracy of future measurements.

15. Protect the sensor from impacts and physical damage. The sensor is a critical component and should be handled with care.

16. Keep the sensor and signal cables away from water, oil, and corrosive substances to prevent damage and ensure reliable performance.

17. Regularly inspect the sensor and signal lines for wear or damage. These parts are prone to failure and require periodic maintenance.

18. The instrument head is a precision device, so always ensure that the voltage and current match the required specifications before use.

19. Do not plug or unplug any signal connectors while the device is operating. This can cause serious damage to the integrated circuits and may result in costly repairs.

Proper handling and regular maintenance of your electronic hook scale can significantly improve its performance and longevity. Always refer to the user manual for specific instructions and consult a professional if you encounter any issues. Safety should always come first when using heavy-duty equipment like hook scales.
