ISO 26262 is a functional safety standard, named "Road Vehicle - Functional Safety", consisting of 10 parts. Since November 2005, ISO TC22 (Road Vehicle Technical Committee), SC3 (Electronic and Electrical Sub-Technical Committee), WG16 (Functional Safety Working Group) and about 30 major automakers around the world have started to develop, after about 6 years. The time was officially promulgated as an ISO standard on November 15, 2011.

ISO 26262 is derived from the basic functional safety standard IEC61508 for electronic, electrical and programmable devices. It is mainly used in the automotive industry for specific electrical components, electronic devices, programmable electronic devices and other components specifically used in the automotive sector. BIIMOAUTO, the United Nations Automotive Quality Supervision and Inspection Center and the China Automotive Industry, Education and Research Information Center will hold the 2015 Automotive Functional Safety ISO26262 Seminar & Special Training in Jiading, Shanghai in August 2015.

The event consisted of a workshop on August 14th and a closed-door training on August 15th, involving automotive steering, suspension, active safety, braking, power, body electronics, electronic control of new energy vehicles, batteries, Main departments such as motors. The seminar is divided into two major discussion areas: standard status and application solutions. It will share the experience of ISO26262 system architecture, construct innovative project analysis of ASIL security system, Model-base Design application and solution, and implement feasible cost down practice of ISO26262. In order to ensure the safety of functional safety cases and safety demonstrations, experts from BMW, Shanghai Automotive, Bosch, Kstar, QNX, and Exdia will be invited to share and share.
