(Nasdaq: QRVO), a leading RF solutions provider for applications in mobile applications, infrastructure and aerospace and defense, today announced the launch of three new power multiplier multichip modules supporting DOCSIS 3.1 (MCM) --- RFCM3327, RFCM3328 and QPB8808. Qorvo's latest power multiplier MCM amplifiers provide cable broadband service providers with an easy upgrade path to DOCSIS 3.1 for maximum design flexibility and functionality while conserving power and reducing board space.

The MCM is equipped with a temperature sensing pin that is easy to assemble, reduces power consumption and helps to better handle printed circuit board reflow. The combination of DC power regulation and current regulation allows operators to intelligently manage the network and reduce power consumption without sacrificing performance.

RFCM3327 and RFCM3328 use Qorvo's market-leading GaN and SiC processes for excellent thermal conductivity. The RFCM3327 provides 23 dB of gain and the RFCM3328 provides 25 dB of gain. Both power multipliers feature +63 dBmV power output for best performance in their class, and both products include external current control for a 20% reduction in total power consumption while meeting linearity specifications .

The QPB8808 is focused on its compact form factor, which saves up to 70% of printed circuit board space compared to competing solutions. Operating from 45 MHz to 1218 MHz, this 12V amplifier offers 20.5 dB gain and +58 dBmv power output and includes different current bias adjustments to maintain high output while reducing power consumption.

Qorvo gains over 50% market share* with CATV GAN RF and offers over 60 DOCSIS 3.1 compliant components including attenuators, switches, power multiplier amplifiers, pre-driver gain units, push-pull amplifiers and reverse path amplifiers . Qorvo's highly differentiated in-house development process technology, including GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) technology, provides excellent linearity, output power and reliability. Qorvo reverse path amplifiers operate at frequencies up to 300MHz, far exceeding the current 204MHz requirements of existing reverse path amplifiers.
