The VR Daily News is approaching the end of the year, and the media naturally like to summarize the major manufacturers, especially their product sales. HTC recently confirmed that each Vive sales can bring profits, and the actual sales data is much more than the 140,000 units mentioned in most reports.

Earlier research firm SuperData predicted the sales of major manufacturers - they believe that by the end of 2016, Oculus Rift is expected to sell about 355,088 units; compared to htc vive sales of 420,108 units. The sales volume of Google Daydream is around 450,083 units; the PS VR will be sold at around 2,602,307 units.

Of course, HTC did not tell the specific sales figures in the teleconference report, but Zhang Jialin, general manager and chief financial officer of HTC Global Business, also said: “The media said that our hardware equipment only sold 140,000 units, but the actual data is far. Far more than this number. I can't tell you an accurate number, I suggest you not to refer to this number. The number seems to be based entirely on something that we don't even know where to come from."

According to HTC's remarks, the above response is at least an indirect answer to the shareholders, so that investors can rest assured that HTC Vive is better than the imagination. As for why the exact data is not published, Zhang Jialin responded: "The competitors certainly want to know the actual sales figures of HTC, which is why I will not disclose (the exact number), because this is a benefit to HTC in the long run. The best protection for shareholders."
